Hi, I’m Ed Priola

I am running for the Alamance County Board of Commissioners to be a strong conservative voice for taxpayers. Government must take less, spend wisely, and do it transparently. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, “Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.

My vision for Alamance County is to have a local government that respects taxpayers by spending public resources wisely and efficiently.

Key Priorities

1. Cut Property Taxes

Ed previously served as the Field Director for the National Taxpayers Union, traveling the nation fighting to cut taxes, government waste, and bloated bureaucracies. Ed’s top priority for Alamance County is to cut property taxes.

2. Support Law Enforcement

Without safe communities, little else matters. Ed has made supporting law enforcement and first responders a top priority.

3. Make Education World-Class

Ed has been a university professor for 15 years. He served as a substitute teacher in the Alamance Burlington School System (ABSS). Addressing ABSS’s lack of leadership and transparency is key to giving every child a world-class education.

4. Grow the Local Economy

Alamance County needs more well-paid jobs that offer meaningful work. Ed will fight for policies that reduce burdensome regulations, encourage small business growth, and support local agriculture.
